Counselling for Adults and Young People

Welcome to Lark Rise Counselling

Seeking help takes courage and strength

Life can be complicated, we all have ups and downs but sometimes the hard moments become a struggle and difficult to ignore. You may be feeling overwhelmed by difficult emotions, past experiences, relationship issues or life transitions - counselling can help.

As a person-centred counsellor, I provide a supportive and empathic space for you to express yourself freely and gain deeper self-awareness. Therapy is a collaborative relationship, I walk alongside you so that, together, we can identify challenges, gain insight and work towards an improved sense of well-being.

"When we make space to process our emotions we open ourselves up to growth and healing."

My approach is grounded in the belief that you have the power to make meaningful changes that reconnect you with your values and aspirations. I come from a place of respect and empathy, believing that each person has a desire to grow.

Often our coping mechanisms - our defences - are born from self-protection. With curiosity and compassion we can explore the root of these behaviours, how past and present experiences have shaped you.

I strongly believe that the therapeutic relationship is a unique connection - where you can truly be yourself, no judgement, no criticism, only understanding and being truly heard.

Fees & availability

A strong therapeutic relationship is key, so finding a counsellor that you feel comfortable to work with is important. I therefore offer a free 15 minute introduction so that we can see if we are the right fit. If we decide to move forward each session will last for 50 minutes and tend to be at the same time each week.

I offer both short-term work for clients that want to focus on a particular area or issue and long-term work where we can develop a more in-depth exploration into specific areas of your life or patterns.

The price for each session is £60, which is payable via bank transfer before the session takes place.
